Pamporovo resort

Pamporovo is a year-round resort located in the Central Rhodope Mountains in the Smolyan region, at an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level. The mild winters and cool summers make it an ideal destination for visitors in any season. With 270 sunny days out of the 365 days in a year, Pamporovo is known as the sunniest mountain resort in Bulgaria. The winter season runs from December to the end of April, with approximately 150 snowy days.

While Pamporovo attracts tourists throughout the year, it is most popular in the winter. The peak with the TV tower, Snezhanka, is one of the 100 national tourist sites in Bulgaria. At 156 meters high, the tower offers a unique view of the Rhodope and Rila mountains, as well as the northern Greek part of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Inside the tower, there is a restaurant where visitors can enjoy the stunning views while dining.

Ski slopes in Pamporovo

Nearly all of the ski slopes in the tourist resort begin at the Snezhanka peak. The Pamporovo ski pass provides access to a total of 43 kilometers of slopes, located at altitudes ranging from 1155m to 1926m in the Pamporovo and Mechi Chal ski areas. The Blue and Green ski slopes, which are relatively easy, are perfect for learning the basics of skiing and snowboarding, including descents and turns. On the other hand, the remaining 12 kilometers of Red and Black slopes offer advanced skiers numerous options and challenges.

Entertainment and sport

In Pamporovo, every day is a good value as you can fully enjoy winter sports with lots of sun and pleasant Mediterranean temperatures. After a sunny day on the slopes, you can unwind in cozy bars or restaurants. During the summer, Pamporovo offers opportunities for paintball, mountain biking, ATV riding, and more.
